Mrs. Hunt Who am I?

Hi. My name is Christy Hunt and I have been the physical education teacher in the Lawrence District for 26 years. I started at Broken Arrow Elementary in 2003 and last year was my first year at Pinckney Elementary School. I graduated with a degree in physical education and health from The University of Kansas.

I have been married for 24 years to a wonderful man named Charlie and have two kids, Aubrey (22) and Alden (19). I also have two cats and two dogs who keep me very busy. When I am not teaching I enjoy spending time with family and friends, drawing, painting, singing, playing the ukulele, riding my bike and lifting weights.

I love teaching your children and providing them with experiences that contribute to their growth and development. I hope that each of my students leave Broken Arrow having had a positive physical education experience that has helped them gain an appreciation of staying healthy and active through lifetime fitness, sports and recreational activities.
