Floor Debate

Floor debate is worth 50pts

• Debate a bill = 20 pts (2x = 40)
  • Expectation is you will debate for our against a bill 2x.
  • Each Congressperson will write two 2-3 minute arguments either for or against a bill.
    • These debates should include facts that support or oppose the bill.
    • Debate the bill on its merits.
    • Outline the good and bad consequences of the bill.
    • Is the bill Constitutional?
    • How does the bill help society? Does it limit freedoms?
• Ask a question on a bill = 2pts
  • Time for questions will be limited.
