One of the most overlooked aspects in athletic performance is nutrition. As the saying goes, " you can't out-train a bad diet." In order to perform to the best of your ability, you must fuel the system. It's just like fueling a car- you need to keep your tank full and it will perform the best with the cleaner fuel (regular unleaded vs premium unleaded). If you fill up your unleaded tank with diesel, it will breakdown. In a similar way, your body cannot handle heavy food without a drop in performance or breaking down altogether.
