Summit Frequently Asked Parent Questions:
1. How does grading work? (The breakdown of the percentages etc.)
Answer: It is a year long cumulative grade. Infinite Campus Gradebook should match the Summit grade.
2. How do I know when something is due for my child?
Answer: In student view, hover over the Project or Focus Area for a due date.
3. Can my student turn in work late?
Answer: Yes. The Project or Focus Area will turn red when they are late.
4. Will my student be on the computer all the time? OR What non-screen learning will my student do?
Answer: No, there will be opportunities for non-screen learning. For example, discussions, small group workshops, etc.
5. Is the teacher actually teaching?
Answer: Yes! Teachers have more time to ask students questions, support individual needs, and make modifications to curriculum. Teachers have full editing rights to the Summit resources and are able to make changes that allow for better alignment to our students unique needs.

Answers: Checkpoints are optional, but are key components to the final product. They are steps toward the final outcome of the projects.
