2027-2028 FAFSA - Free Application for Student Financial Aid

The FAFSA for the 2027-2028 School Year is now open.  Please go to the link listed below for information, tips & tricks to get it started.  There is a student part and a parent part.  Parents, if you have previously filled out the FAFSA for another child, you do not need to apply for a new account, but fill out the requested information.  Students will also need to fill out an account separately.  The FAFSA will need filled out every year. 

Submit your FAFSA form as soon as possible after Oct. 1, 2026. Deadlines vary by institution. Contact the financial aid office at the college or career school to find out when their deadline is … If your child does not know where they are attending, it is recommended that you/student fill out multiple colleges.  This way you may not only “shop” around, but save time later by the college already having the information. (Example:  Kansas State University’s priority deadline is DECEMBER 1, 2027).  The last date to file is April 1, 2028, but this is on a first come first served basis.
