Free Virtual College Advising for Students & Families
Matriculate is a national nonprofit dedicated to helping high-achieving, low-income students navigate the college application process through free, virtual advising. Their near-peer mentorship model connects eligible students with trained college advisors who provide personalized support for every step of the journey—including FAFSA completion, scholarship applications, college essays, and more. Matriculate recently accepted 3,000 students into their Class of 2025 program, and applications for the Class of 2026 open in February 2025!
Eligible students must be on track to graduate in the Class of 2026, attend high school in the U.S., have a family income of less than $90,000, maintain a 3.5+ unweighted GPA, and take a rigorous course load and/or have a standardized test score in the 90th percentile. If accepted, students will receive one-on-one guidance from a trained near-peer college advisor, completely free of charge.
