SAMR model categorizes classroom tasks that use technology as substitution, augmentation, modification, or redefinition. However, the language tends to be less supportive to teachers that are new to technology.

Jen Roberts created the TECH model to help those teachers new to technology. TECH may help you rethink your classroom practices as you move with your students from traditional pedagogy into technology enhanced activities that will eventually give students more choices and more responsibility.
