USD290 students participate in multiple assessment programs required by the State of Kansas or national-level assessments that provide performance benchmarks to indicate growth and achievement. Assessment results serve as one indicator of the success and quality of education in USD290. 

The comprehensive assessment plan monitors a variety of achievement targets for a variety of purposes. The data supports decisions regarding curriculum, assessment, instruction and related programs. USD290 is committed to using data analysis, motivating students to do well on tests, following test security policies and using strategies to support test-taking skills in order to achieve our vision of USD290 students graduating with the knowledge, skills, and behaviors to hold life sustaining employment and our mission for all students to master the skills necessary to be productive citizens and reach their maximum potential.
