For college credits to be counted toward your inservice hours, your classes must meet the following criteria:
Credit hours must be earned during the 2025-2026 school year.
The class/classes you wish to submit for inservice must be related to the Special Education services you provide as part of your job as a para.
Acceptable course examples: College Algebra, English, Psychology, US History, etc.
Unacceptable course examples: Esports and Shoutcasting, Dance History: Ancient Civilization to Early 1900s, Glass Forming I, Ceramics Wheel Throwing, etc.
How to include these hours on your inservice log:
List the course name
List the semester taken
List how many credits were earned
Example: Child Psychology - Fall 2025 - 3 Credits
Attach a copy of your transcript (unofficial is fine) with the following:
Your name
College or University Name
Term (Fall 2025, etc.)
Final grade for the course
