For college credits to be counted toward your inservice hours, your classes must meet the following criteria:

• Credit hours must be earned during the 2025-2026 school year.

• The class/classes you wish to submit for inservice must be related to the Special Education services you provide as part of your job as a para.

  • Acceptable course examples: College Algebra, English, Psychology, US History, etc.

  • Unacceptable course examples: Esports and Shoutcasting, Dance History: Ancient Civilization to Early 1900s, Glass Forming I, Ceramics Wheel Throwing, etc.

How to include these hours on your inservice log:

1. List the course name

2. List the semester taken

3. List how many credits were earned

Example: Child Psychology - Fall 2025 - 3 Credits

4. Attach a copy of your transcript (unofficial is fine) with the following:

   1. Your name

   2. College or University Name

   3. Term (Fall 2025, etc.)

   4. Final grade for the course
