What counts as Para Inservice?
Most any training or collaboration time specifically related to your job as a para that takes place during the 2025-2026 academic year.
For any training to count, you must do the following:
For in-person trainings, you must be clocked in and signed in on a sign-in sheet provided by the trainer.
For online/computer training, a certificate of completion must be included with your log (unless it was an Infinitec or Public School Works course, which will appear on your transcript). You must also be clocked in during the training you are logging.
Specific Examples of Accepted Inservice:
AVSEC Back to School Inservice - August 4, 2025 - 4 Hours
Public School Works - only assigned PSW courses are acceptable (Your completed number of hours is found on your PSW transcript. Instructions for accessing your PSW transcript are found here.)
Beginning of School Meeting with Supervising Teacher - Up to 4 Hours
Building Inservices for Back to School (Varies by building - contact your supervising teacher.)
Safety Care: Initial 2-Day Training - 14 hours, Refresher 1-Day Training - 7 Hours
