Disbursed with proof of enrollment of 12 hours or more in their first semester at an institution of higher learning located in the State of Kansas.
About the Scholarship
Jim McClain served as High School Principal of Bennington schools from 1962-1966. He then became Superintendent of Twin Valley USD 240 in 1966 and served in that capacity until retirement in 1992.
The McClain family established this scholarship to assist students of average or above average academic ability and with a documented financial need. Students must be planning to attend an accredited institution of higher learning located within the state of Kansas. Preference is given to students pursuing careers in education or health care at Kansas Wesleyan University, Fort Hays State University, or Kansas State University.
