VEX Robotics is a comprehensive STEM platform engaging students through hands-on robot design and programming. It offers two distinct levels: VEX IQ (middle school) uses snap-together parts to teach engineering mechanics, while VEX V5 (high school) utilizes customizable metal components. The platform accommodates all proficiency levels, supporting languages from block-based coding to C++ and Python.
Beyond construction, VEX provides a pathway to the world’s largest robotics competition. This competitive environment transforms abstract concepts into dynamic challenges, fostering essential soft skills like teamwork, project management, and critical thinking.
Designed as a turnkey solution for educators, VEX includes extensive resources aligned with academic standards (NGSS). In South Dakota, the competition season runs from late October through the state championship in late February or early March.
