Chiesman and South Dakota News Watch have embarked on a joint effort, known as “Engage South Dakota,” in which the two organizations plan to use journalism and civic engagement as a way to identify and share solutions to problems in cities and towns across the state.

Constitution Day and National Voter Registration Day 2025
Together with the USD Opportunity Center, the Knudson School of Law, and the Department of Political Science, we are hosting South Dakota Supreme Court Justice Mark E. Salter and a screening of the film "Undivide Us."
