Harvard Professor and International Communications expert Steve Jarding will outline why democracy needs new leaders and why leaders need to know how to communicate and connect much better now more than ever. In his presentation, Jarding will recap a new paradigm of professional communication that he developed and taught to thousands of students at Harvard and to thousands of students and professionals in over 50 countries around the world.

This exciting, universal, and wildly successful paradigm highlights the critical role emotion and passion play in professional communication as they are the most universal and most recognized communication cornerstones for people worldwide.  He will discuss how to maneuver the three hurdles to becoming a great speaker: the need for a speaker to establish credibility, believability and likability.

Professor Jarding’s training teaches participants, regardless of their proficiency in communications or their experience as a public speaker, state-of-the-art techniques for delivering a great speech and for successfully taking charge of and winning difficult communication settings like presentations, interviews or debates.

The communication tools taught include extensive training in the use of body language and voice techniques to make participants better speakers and includes the training of a litany of word “usages” to make a speaker’s presentation and message come alive.
