This project is funded by the USC Libraries Research Grant and conducted by Win Shih and Sarah Diffenderfer.
Win Shih is is the Director of Integrated Library Systems at University of Southern California (USC) Libraries, where he leads a team in overseeing library’s management systems. He also teaches at USC’s Master of Management in Library and Information Science program. As an educator, Dr. Shih actively participates in the accreditation review of Master of Library and Information Science programs and serves on ALA’s Committee of Accreditation. He received his Doctor of Education from USC’s Rossier School of Education.
Sarah Diffenderfer is a graduate student in her final semester in the Master of Management in Library and Information Science (MMLIS) program at the University of Southern California (USC). She is passionate about helping other people, building positive relationships, and improving the world around us, even in a small way. Sarah's research interests include Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Accessibility and Anti-racism related topics, outreach services to under-served communities, adding social workers to libraries, and advocacy for BIPOC students, especially decolonizing library spaces for Indigenous student needs.
