Ethan is 12 years old. He was diagnosed with sickle cell anemia. He loves building Legos, painting, playing Roblox, and watching Marvel movies. His favorite animal is a penguin and his favorite foods are doughboys from Iggy’s and his mom’s homemade pancakes. He was the 2023 Champion Child! Ethan’s biggest dream is to be an architect!
London is 10 years old. She was diagnosed with Spina Bifida and Arnold-Chiari Malformation. She is in 4th grade, and loves to play sports! Her favorites are soccer, softball, and basketball! London’s favorite songs to jam out to the car is anything by Meghan Trainor or Benson Boone. Her favorite foods are sushi, burritos, and nuggets! When London grows up, she wants to be an actress! London is the 2024 Champion Child!
Paige is 10 years old. She was diagnosed with a giant omphalocele and born with organs outside of her body, as well as hypertension of the lungs, chronic lung disease, and atrial septal defect (hole in her heart). She is in the 4th grade and enjoys playing basketball and jumping on the trampoline. Her favorite thing to do is play with her sister Harper! Her favorite foods are lobster, pizza, chicken fingers, and sushi! When she grows up she wants to be a doctor or teacher! A fun fact about Paige is that she does not have a belly button so she loves asking other people about theirs!
Cullen is 9 years old. He was diagnosed with Severe Hemophilia. Cullen loves to play board games and video games when he is at home. His favorite food is a cheeseburger! Cullen’s favorite songs to jam to in the car are Religiously and Beautiful Things. His favorite character is Stitch, and he loves soccer, especially center striker. His biggest dream is to be a gym teacher.
Tyler is 12 years old and is in the 6th grade. He was diagnosed with Brittle bone disease/osteogenesis imperfecta. He enjoys being on his swim team, riding his bike, playing with friends and his dog Gibbs! He is a total beach bum, his favorite color is blue, and his favorite snacks are nacho chips and Pringles! Tyler's biggest dream is to be an engineer and an Olympic swimmer.
Ari is 6 years old. She was diagnosed with Stage V Wilms tumor and had her right kidney and the initial tumor removed. Ari was 2022 Hasbro’s Champion Child! She also has a brother. She loves Disney princesses so much that she is convinced she is one. She enjoys dance class and cheerleading. She also loves to paint her nails, and her favorite movie is Frozen.
Saoirse is 11 years old and is in 6th grade. She was diagnosed with Wilms Tumor. Her favorite activities are music and art. Her favorite foods are Irish pudding and candy. Saoirse has way too many characters to pick a favorite. When she grows up, she wants to be either a musician or an artist. Saoirse loves to be around others, and loves trying new things and being involved wherever she can!
Izzy is 17 years old and is in 11th grade. She was diagnosed with Beta Thalassemia Major and Cooley’s Anemia. Her interests include Studio Ghibli (specifically Howl’s Moving Castle) and international/global affairs! Izzy dances with the State Ballet of Rhode Island. She is a high honors student and hopes to become either a forensic scientist or pediatric doctor—either specializing in hematology or oncology. She is trying out for the mock trial and Model UN at her school this year!
