Upcoming Events & Booths

On February 14th, the RhodyTHON executive board went to cheer on the URI Hockey team! We had a blast spending time with some of our Miracle Kids on Valentine's Day! We got to know more about some of the kids and ended the night with a win!

On March 1st, the RhodyTHON executive board went to cheer on the URI Women's Basketball Team! It was amazing to spend more time with the kids! They were excited to cheer on the Women's Team and were even more excited that the Main Event is coming up soon!

On November 4th, 2024, the RhodyTHON executive board took a tour of Hasbro Children's! We were able to see the wing of the hospital that was built in 2022 with all of the money RhodyTHON has raised throughout the years! We also did Goodnight Lights! Goodnight Lights happens every night at the hospital. The community can go to the parking lot and flash their car lights and phone flashlights to the kids in their rooms. The kids then flash their lights back!

On December 8th, 2024, we held our second annual Dodgeball Tournament! Different organizations on campus made teams and competed in a tournament. One of our Miracle Kids, Tyler, and his family were able to join us! We love spending time with our Miracle Kids throughout the year!

On February 3rd, 2024, we collaborated with the URI Men's Basketball Game. The team got our Miracle Kids and their families tickets for a game! We had a blast hanging out with them all day and were able to support our Rhody Family!

On October 20th, 2023, we collaborated with the URI Men's Soccer team! We were able to honor our Miracle Kids, and the executive board played them in a scrimmage at halftime! The kids ended up beating executive board members! RhodyTHON also hosted a booth at the game to raise money and awareness!

Dream Big Kids Do! Our 2023 Main Event was an amazing time! We raised $45,700 for Hasbro this year! We all had big dreams and were able to reach for the stars!

The first in-person event in three years was a huge success! We were able to raise $62,000 for Hasbro! For 10 hours we celebrated our Miracle Kids and had a blast with them! 

In spite of the pandemic, our 2021 Dance Marathon was held virtually. With the help of URI's IT team, we were able to successfully run a 12 hour marathon on Youtube, and raise close to $40,000 to help children at Hasbro's Children's Hospital.

Although COVID-19 forced us to cancel our in person event, our team made an online version! We were able to successfully do a virtual RhodyThon by participants using Instagram live, sending in videos they took at home, and posting to other forms of social media. In a year that faced us with adversity, we nonetheless reached our most basic goal: bring our campus together to show support for Hasbro Children's Hospital's patient families.

Rhodython 2019 was our second-ever dance marathon and we were able to raise $292,173! The night was filled with zumba, sports, dancing, and non-stop fun!

Our first ever Rhodython! Not only did we raise $147,000, but we also broke The Children's Miracle Network's record for the largest first-ever dance marathon! 1,500 students flooded Keaney Gymnasium to dance the night away and hear stories from our miracle families.
