"At the beggining of the 2022 competition school year, the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez was still operating in a hybrid manner. More than 50% of the team members were recruited, as well as new team leadership and administration. To give the team time to train and re-adjust to in-person classes and work, the team strategy adopted for the 2022 competition year was to focus on the internal team reorganization. For this reason, the team chose to not compete in the 2022 International Roboboat Competition. This gave the team 6 months to adjust and 6 months to work on the strategy for the 2023 competition year."
