Conduct feasibility analysis of Gen III (SMR) Nuclear Waste & Used Fuel Management in Puerto Rico. Determine neutronics & criticality studies in the fuel cycle, including 3D-Serpent Code calculations for sub-criticality in post-irradiation storage configurations.
Assisting in thermal validation of molten salts for nuclear applications. Completed a range of simultaneous job tasks to support graduate students research and operational needs. Identified suitable materials for experimental use that aligned with environmental concerns and budget constraints. Integrated over-temperature protection systems into existing environmental control frameworks to safeguard experimental tests.
Investigated and simulated the chemical transportation and commercialization of noble gases left by MSR's Off-Gas System on its Offline/Online stage. Improved design flowcharts for reprocessing MSR waste for maximization in noble gas captures
Investigated and simulated a three-unit cycle of gas refiner to eliminate sulfur traces in the natural gas fed to SOFC’s in order to help mitigate overall replacement costs .
Analysis of thermal decompositons in Biodiesel Fuels
In this modified research MB is analyzed as a main surrogate for a large biofuel ME molecule with a varying pathway which where determined by electronic strucutres and kinetic calculations throughout the Gaussian 03 and CHEMKIN 4.1 in order to restrict parameters and confirm state predictions/transitions.
