Thanks to CAHSI’s support, he finished a research program that broadened his understanding of the field and even got the chance to participate in the GMis Research Poster Competition twice. Kevin Avilés Rivera
Kevin Avilés Rivera is a mentor at ESLOTTIDET and the vice president of the Computer Science Student Association. He is currently in his fourth year as a Computer Science Student, during which he has worked as a software engineer, English tutor, and software developer. His goal as an ESLOTTIDET mentor is to provide technical and professional assistance to any students who may need such services.
Sadarys Seguinot Vélez
Sadarys Seguinot Vélez is a mentor at ESLOTTIDET and is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting with a minor in Finance. As a mentor, her goal is to support students in mastering financial modeling software such as Excel and QuickBooks while helping them build a strong foundation in financial reporting, budgeting, ethical decision-making, critical thinking, and effective communication.
Gabriela Meléndez Marrero
Gabriela Meléndez Marrero is a mentor at Eslottidet and the president of the Computer Science Student Association at the University of Puerto Rico at Arecibo. She is currently in her senior year on her bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, with a minor in full-stack development, with experience in software development through her work at RoDeL. Gabriela has also participated in competitive programming events and is passionate about empowering students through technical mentorship and inclusive leadership.
Jiullian-Lee Vargas Ruiz
Jiullian-Lee, a senior Computer Science undergraduate, serves as a board member of the Computer Science Students Association (CSSA) and a mentor through ESLOTIDDET. She has gained experience as a researcher, software engineer, and web developer throughout her academic and professional journey.
As a mentor, she strives to guide students in her areas of expertise, helping them refine their resumes, secure internships or research roles, and develop essential soft skills while maintaining a healthy balance between academics and personal growth.
Yahir Cuevas Soto
Yahir A. Cuevas Soto is a mentor at ESLOTTIDET and a fourth-year student in Industrial Microbiology with a minor in Biomedical Sciences. He is also part of the Honors Studies Program and has experience as a mentor for first-year students as well as in undergraduate research on the conservation of endangered sea turtles. Yahir is the Historian of the TriBeta Biology Honor Society. His goal as an ESLOTTIDET mentor is to support students by being a guiding resource, while inspiring them with joy and motivation.
Carlos E. Delgado Vega
Carlos E. Delgado Vega is a fourth year undergraduate student pursuing a double major in Computer Science & Environmental Microbiology. During his studies, he’s been involved in internship experiences & various research projects ranging from bioinformatics to geosciences & 3D printing. As a mentor in ESLOTTIDET, he is committed to assist any student seeking technical help.
