Hello CAHSI Partners,

Dr. Marvin Andujar from the University of South Florida has agreed to come and speak with students in the Doctoral Scholars Network about his experience in graduate school, and into the professoriate.

Since this event is over zoom, we are extending the invitation to any CAHSI student that is interested in graduate school and would like to hear about Dr. Andujar’s journey.

Please see the attached flyer for more information. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. I will send out the zoom invite to you all a week before the event. Please encourage your students to register for the event via the QR code in the flyer.

The event will take place on Friday March 24th from 1-2pm est (12pm cst, 11am mst, and 10am pst).

Me complace informarles que el próximo martes 21 de marzo se llevará a cabo la primera sesión del Coding Club, evento auspiciado por CAHSI, Google y Microsoft en Upra. La sesión informativa abordará como temática principal la resolución de problemas (Problem Solving). Les recordamos que el evento se llevará a cabo en el Salón AC 233 B, de 10:00 a 11:30 AM hora universal.

Esperamos su presencia en este importante evento y estamos muy emocionados por poder compartir esta experiencia con ustedes.

Este próximo jueves 16 de marzo, a las 5:00 p.m., se llevará a cabo una importante orientación virtual sobre el programa de graduado en Ciencias de la Cómputos en la Universidad de Puerto Rico, Recinto de Río Piedras.

Esta actividad representa una oportunidad única para conocer en detalle los objetivos, requisitos y oportunidades que ofrece este programa de estudios altamente reconocido en el campo de las ciencias de la computación.

On the 9 November, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) will be visiting our institution to give us an info session on their work and opportunities. The session will take place on TI-231, it is programmed to last one hour, and it will start at 3:00 pm EST. Furthermore, we encourage all students no matter what year to go to his session since the PNNL personnel are always more than helpful to promote students' career paths and inspirations.

Everybody is invited to the talk: How to Acquire Professional Experience During My Undergraduate Studies!

The session is 1 hour long, and students will get the opportunity to learn about the following:

• Know the available opportunities to gain professional experience before graduating.

• Advise that students can take the opportunity to complete a period of work experience to ensure they have a competitive advantage over their peers.

• Learn the basic steps to apply to each category.
  
  

The resource that will lead the info session is Juan F. Ayala García the CAHSI Advocate for The University of Puerto Rico At Arecibo. Every student is welcome, no matter what year. 

The session is going to take place on AC301 (RODEL).

The Graduate Engineering Open House (GEOH) functions as a graduate program preview for prospective students and will provide the opportunity to learn about what the College of Engineering at The Ohio State University has to offer you as a graduate student.GEOH is an invite only event.
