Day 10 - Paris/Venice

Today was our last day in Paris. We started the day at the Louvre, which is the word's largest museum. It is a beautiful landmark full of incredible artifacts. Several selfies were taken with the Mona Lisa and we got a chance to see artwork by all 4 of the ninja turtles; Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michelangelo, along with many other great masters.

We had lunch nearby before heading to the Catacombs of Paris. The Catacombs were deep under the city. It was eerie walking among the remains of over 6 million people.

From the catacombs we waited for our bus to show up and take us to our train. Then we waited. Then we waited some more. Then we rushed onto the metro and took public transport to the train station as our bus failed to show. It was a mad dash but we all made it safely and in plenty of time.

Our overnight train to Venice was a 14 hour ride. After a frantic start we took a while to sort out our cabins, but from then on it was a smooth journey.
