Welcome to the CWTS 2 Assignment Guide for T2 AY 2022-2023!
Hopefully, this online version will make it easier for you to go over our requirements. Please note that there are changes from previous versions.
Be sure to read everything carefully! :)
In CWTS 2, we will plan and implement community service projects that contribute to the welfare of our communities and/or enhance existing facilities.
If you already implemented a project before, this is an opportunity to apply and build on the lessons you learned for even better results.
If this is your first time to initiate a project, don't worry! You will be getting helpful inputs and support from your classmates and faculty guides.
This term, we will work on projects related to the following:
Citizenship
Community recreation
Education
Environment
Gender & Equality
Health
Livelihood & Entrepreneurship
Moral values
Safety and disaster preparedness
Address a need expressed by our partner
Leverage our skills, connections & resources
Require each member to do an important task
Be completed before May 13, 2023.
You are strongly encouraged to work with our theme of digital citizenship this term, especially if it fits with your partners' needs.
In Module 2, we learn that one reason why less young people are volunteering these days is because many organizations have not been able to keep up with the digital era, where the young people are.
As digital citizens who are adept with technology, how can we help build our partner's digital capacities, so that they can maximize technology for the good of society?
What can we do so that after our project, they will be better able to harness digital technologies to achieve their goals?
Here is an overview of what we will do:
1. PREPARE
Determine what skills and resources you have.
Look for a partner community/ organization and get their support.
Find out what your partner needs.
Decide which need(s) you can help with given your skills, connections, and resources.
2. PLAN
Develop a plan by carefully mapping the different steps you will need to take.
Post your plan on the forum, and consider inputs you will incorporate.
Wait for approval of your faculty guide.
3. IMPLEMENT
Implement your plan and begin your journal.
Present video updates on Milestones 1 & 2 (with your updated progress chart).
4. EVALUATE
Evaluate your project and post your report on the blog.
Finish your journal, evaluate yourself and your peers.
Celebrate a job well done!
The details of the above are discussed in the succeeding pages of this guide.
