Year 11 Creative Arts @ Uplands Class of 2021, IGCSE Showcase.
What is the value of Art in our world?
If asked this question, many Arts lovers will tell you to try and imagine a world without the Arts. In years past, this was difficult to do, but the COVID-19-related shutdowns have given us a startling glimpse of a world devoid of in-person Creative Arts experiences. This has also been the case at Uplands with many Arts-based school events having to be cancelled.
The Arts may not always be top of mind for everyone, especially in uncertain and even frightening times like these, yet during this time of global pandemic, we’ve been reminded of its power and importance.
Graduating Year 11 IGCSE and High School Diploma Creative Arts students have shown great resilience to have well and truly risen above the challenges these past two, unprecedented years have provided. I am sure you will thoroughly enjoy looking at, listening to, (and feeling), the wonderful creative work they have produced.
Student work from Drama, Visual Arts, and Music can be accessed by clicking on the navigation tabs in the top right-hand corner of this page. If you can, please provide any feedback you can either directly to the Artists or via the school so that it can be passed on to these talented, passionate, and dedicated students.
