Curriculum during the pandemic
Grade 1-3
The curriculum for primary grades follow the Mother Tongue Based - Multilingual Education (MTB-MLE) program of DepEd. Thus, it strengthens the child's oral language in the mother tongue and teaches the child to read first in the mother tongue. At the same time, the child is introduced/familiarized with the oral form of the second language (L2). Reading in the L2 is taught when the child can already read in the mother tongue. It is based on DepEd's Most Essential Learning Competencies (MELC) and the revised FEUR curriculum maps.
Only four subjects are offered per semester. For the first semester, these are Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao (or Good Manners and Right Conduct), English, Mathematics, and Mother Tongue. For the second semester, these are Araling Panlipunan, Filipino, science and Health, and Music, Arts, and Physical Education (MAPE).
