Dental and Vision Insurance
Boston Public School teachers and paraprofessionals receive dental and vision insurance through the Boston Teachers Union Health and Welfare Fund.
Some other employees receive dental and vision insurance through the Massachusetts Public Employees Fund; others receive dental and vision through Blue Cross and need to apply via BPS. Please confirm with BPS during your welcome session what insurance coverage is available for your role.
NOTE: There is a 6 month wait period for dental insurance for BASAS employees. Please contact your health insurance in the case of a dental emergency to see if there is coverage available.
