What language(s) do you use?  Give examples of in what context and/or how you use this language or languages. 

I use spanish when I stay with my family, friends and sometimes in the school. 

I use english when I have english class and when my family asks me to translate something from English to Spanish or the other way around from Spanish to English.

With the spanish I can speak with other people, hear my favorite songs and read and write. 

With the english I can speak with the teacher of english. I can do some works like exhibitions or project presentations. Travel to another country

My family, being Mexican, has obviously always instilled in me the Mexican culture.

In Mexico we have approximately 69 native languages, we also have Spanish 

Do you have friends from the different cultural backgrounds? With which cultures different from your own are you most familiar?

No, I don´t have friends from a different culture 

How do you feel when you encounter different cultural experiences? Provide a specific example.

I feel happy and excited because I want to know different cultures, meet other people or places. For example, if I have the opportunity to travel to New York, i would like to know part of the history of the city or meet places like Central Park 

What do you believe is the relationship between language and culture?

Well, I think that the relationship between language and culture is that the language reflect part of the culture of a society. The language is something that characterizes a culture 

Why is learning another language so important in today’s world?

Because I we want to travel to another country we need to know some english or intermediate 

If I need to get a job, speaking a second language maybe is a requirement for the position.

Throughout my life I have studied English.

Why have you chosen that specific language for language development?

I think that with the english I have more oportunities to grow personally and professionally.

How do you think you will use your target language in the future? Consider ways that you might use your target language in your career area of interest.

Communicate with people from different parts of the world, I will be able to travel to different places, I will be able to study abroad. To get a good job in an important company  

What challenges do you feel you may encounter in your language studies?

I feel confused because there are several words I don't understand, the grammatical tenses and sometimes I get nervous when I have to establish a conversation for example with my teacher or classmates. 

How will you meet these challenges?

Study more vocabulary and practice basic gramatical tenses. Hear songs in english to practice the pronunciation and watch movies or series in english i think that this is a fun way to learn english
