My subject for this photo is just a simple big old tree, surrounded by grass. I took this photo inside the UP Diliman Campus, near Vargas Hall. For the camera settings, I chose pro mode and decreased the ISO, since it was already bright. I also maxed the focus to capture the details of the main subject. I also took the photo upside down near the grass to give it a depth effect, making it look as if a dwarf took the photo.
I chose this as my subject for the theme "height" because I was running out of ideas, and I also wanted to experiment with different perspectives, such as this. Maybe it would've been better if I fixed the angle or positioning so that the grass wouldn't cover much of the space on the right side.
This photo was also taken inside the UP Diliman Campus, in the science complex amphitheater. My subject for this photo is a bench with arched legs made out of concrete. For the camera settings, I also used pro mode and lowered the ISO, since it is already sunny at this moment. I also experimented with the focus to balance it, making it not too blurry. Lastly, I positioned my phone close to the ground for a better angle.
I chose this as my subject for the theme "pattern," as this is the only thing that reminds me of when I visit the campus. Sure there were plants and sidewalks, but this stood out for me the most.
This photo was taken near where I live, another building in UP BLISS. My subject is the main gate of that building. I used Pro Mode for the shot, but this time I increased the ISO because it was nighttime. Raising the ISO helped brighten the scene and made the details clearer. I also adjusted the focus and shutter speed to get the overall feel I wanted. For composition, I used the gridlines to help with cropping and alignment.
I chose this photo for the theme "Night" because I liked how it captured the vibe of a warm, chill evening. The soft yellow-white lighting gives a sense of coziness and calm that I liked. Maybe the photo could’ve been even better if I added more light behind the gate to reveal more detail and reduce the dark space in that area.
I took this photo on my way to UP Diliman, along Delos Reyes Street. For this shot, I used Pro Mode and adjusted the focus and ISO to prioritize depth of field, drawing attention to the main subject. I spotted this flower hanging from a fence, surrounded by vines and leaves, right beside a wrecked car. This photo means a lot to me, because this is the first time I’ve successfully executed something like this.
I took this shot from an overpass in Philcoa using the built-in long exposure setting on my camera, specifically the Neon Lights option. It was supposed to create continuous light trails, but instead, the lights came out dotted and broken. I wasn’t satisfied with the outcome, as it didn’t meet my expectations. This is probably my least favorite shot from the set, but since it was my first time trying this technique, I’ll consider it a decent start.
I chose this as my subject for the theme "motion" because I think moving cars with light trails against a night setting would perfectly capture the theme.
