UPLB ILCAL ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE
UPLB-ILCAL is comprised of experts from different colleges/schools to realize the functions of the laboratory. UPLB-ILCAL, which is headed by a director, is directly under the supervision of the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Extension (OVCRE) whom shall oversee the programs and activities of the laboratory in relation to its RDE agenda on sustainability. An advisory board will be formed above the laboratory, which will comprise of the Chancellor, representative from the private and public sectors, and the Deans from different colleges to ensure that all perspectives will be considered in the programs, activities and actions plans of UPLB-ILCAL. Furthermore, a support staff shall ensure the timely and quality outputs, services and activities of the laboratory in line with its identified major programs and future plans, and in close communication with each members of the laboratory. Program chairs were also identified to oversee the major programs of the laboratory.
Program Committees and their Mandates (Oct 2017 - Oct 2020)
1. Technical Advisory and Knowledge Management Committee
This committee is expected to capacitate not only its members but other academic institutions and the private sectors in relevant industry as well on the importance of LCA in terms of production from cradle to grave. Benchmarking and gathering of data from past research studies will help the team determine the extent of knowledge about LCA in the Philippines.

2. Low Ecological Footprint University Committee
This committee is created to ensure that UPLB will serve as a model university in demonstrating sustainability, as a low ecological footprint entity. The committee shall provide national leadership in the promotion of low-carbon practices and production technologies, green buildings, sustainable waste management practices as well as the use of energy efficient technologies through information, education and campaign (IEC) and implementation of RDE programs; thereby, making UPLB the first low ecological footprint university in the country.

3. Ecological Labelling, National Standards, Certification and Validation Committee
This committee envisions to take part in establishing national sustainability standards for various products and industries in the country. And as expertise and exposure to these kind of research studies and procedures build up over the years, the committee aims to be a certified validator that shall assess and eventually certify LCA and other related studies.
4. National and International Linkages Committee
This committee is formed to guarantee that UPLB-ILCAL is packaged attractively and at the same time ensure that there shall be efforts in linking the committee nationally and internationally. The committee shall not only focus on what UPLB-ILCAL can offer but also shall research and constantly communicate with stakeholders to determine issues, concerns and gaps that the laboratory could be of assistance.

5. Curricular Development Committee
The committee aims to incorporate LCA discipline in the curriculum of relevant colleges and schools in the university. UPLB-ILCAL will also offer short-term LCA training courses not only to students and faculty but also to other stakeholders and interested parties. UPLB-ILCAL also aims to connect with the Department of Education (DepEd) to propose the assessment of DepEd Curriculum in the life cycle context.
