Turnitin Feedback Studio is a commercial, Internet-based plagiarism detection service launched in 1997. Universities and high schools typically buy licenses to use the software as a service (SaaS) website, which checks submitted documents against its database and the content of other websites with the aim of identifying plagiarism.

All UP Manila units will require a maximum similarity index of 30% (with filter for bibliography/references and similarity matches of <1%), based on the Turnitin anti-plagiarism software evaluation, for the following submissions:  Student term papers, Student thesis proposals, Student thesis reports, Research proposals, Research final reports, Researches by PGH residents and fellows, and Submissions for publication.

Turnitin Draft Coach is now enabled for UP System. Students, faculty, and staff can use this additional feature as a Google Docs add-on via their UP Mail account (up.edu.ph)
