The Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) Program is a four-year degree program that can be taken by UPCAT passers, shiftees from other UP Units, and qualifying transferee students from outside the University.
The different BFA Program offerings are designed to hone the artistic and design skills specific to the fields of practice, culminating in the development of individual thesis outputs.

BFA (Art Education)
The program aims to produce teacher-artists who apply art and design theories, principles, and history towards innovative, progressive, ethical,
and critical projects and practice in art education. It focuses on art and design education across formal and non-formal contexts, for a range of learners. Exposure to studio training and interdisciplinary knowledge equips students with perspectives and practices grounded in their social context, respectful of cultural heritage and diversity, and committed to the upliftment of Philippine society and the people.

The program aims to produce scholar-artists who apply art and design theories, principles, and history towards innovative, progressive, ethical, and critical projects and practice. It focuses on research on Philippine art history, criticism, and related fields. Exposure to studio training and theory equips students with firsthand knowledge of perspectives and practices grounded in their social context, respectful of cultural heritage and diversity, and committed to the upliftment of Philippine society and the people.

Industrial Design explores the study of techniques, processes, theories and concepts needed in the design and development of products and systems. As a discipline that takes into account aesthetics, functionality, manufacturability, and marketability, Industrial Design can be described as the intersection where art, science and technology, and marketing meet. ID students are innovators who work with limitations and challenges, mindful of the environment, and design's role in society.

Visual Communication is directed towards the development of various methods in art and design practice necessary in creating effective communication materials for a targeted audience or market. VisComm students are exposed to a wide array of Industry Standard media practices in illustration, graphic design, publication design, advertising campaign, photography, animation, digital media, and moving images. Students are trained to develop design solutions, visualize creative content and execute their ideas.
