I have spent literally hundreds of hours getting lost in Hyrule and savoring every inch of the open world created by its developers. As you take your horse and explore the vast expanse of the Hyrule map, you are automatically transported to a place of myth and legend where only one true hero can save them from destruction. Beautiful graphics, memorable story line and endearing characters are what makes BOTW the best game in Nintendo Switch bar none. The truth is I’m twiddling my thumbs while anticipating for the second installment in the Hyrule universe but in a way I’m also afraid if the developers can outdo themselves. Breath of the Wild is a masterpiece that will be hard to top.
The video game cover features Link, our valiant hero, facing the Hyrule Castle and ready to destroy Calamity Ganon
In Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Link was re-imagined and made to "grow" into a young knight destined to aid and protect Princess Zelda
The trio of highly celebrated actors who graced this heartwarming series and provided comic relief
Perfectly casted actors and believable acting makes this fantasy romcom one of the best Korean dramas
I wouldn’t say I’m a fan of Korean romcoms but this one made me sit down and pay attention. The story was well written and almost every frame is a visual treat. Acting was also commendable and I found myself silently rooting for my favorite characters until it came to the shocking conclusion. It is one of the best series I’ve watched and I could only hope that I will get to see the day that a Filipino series can be as good, if not better, than the ones produced by Korea.
The tension builds with every scene and the entire team has perfectly executed each one seamlessly
Koreans have once again schooled the Westerners how a good political thriller is done
One would expect that since this is merely an Asian version of a US series, it will be sub par. But no, it is in fact better than the original. Although the story line is somewhat predictable, the entire visuals is a gem. Every scene is well thought and the acting is believable. The shots were perfectly executed. I have been following the US version but decided to switch to the Asian version instead. It is that good.
The backdrops are mesmerizing and masterfully rendered
An epic fantasy like no other which can only come from Studio Ghibli
Nausica is a heroine you can't help but root for because of her relatable character
The story transcends through time. It is one you can tell from generation to generation
Howl’s Moving Castle is a tale for both the young and young at heart. Masterfully created by Hayao Miyazaki and his team of magicians in Studio Ghibli. I remember watching this movie and being drawn to it, unable to resist from finishing the animation regardless if it lasted more than two hours. There is depth and substance with each scene. Bonus factors are the wonderfully illustrated backdrops and witty dialogue from the characters. I can say it is one of the best anime I’ve seen in my lifetime.
Like Howl’s Moving Castle, Nausica and the Valley of the Wind was created by Studio Ghibli’s team of expert animators. The unique story line and strong cast of characters were all placed in the beautiful and sweeping backdrop of a post apocalyptic era which was imagined and perfectly rendered by Hayao Miyazaki and his team. This feature animation is as iconic as it is legendary and one can expect no less from Studio Ghibli.
“I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where. I love you simply, without problems or pride: I love you in this way because I do not know any other way of loving but this, in which there is no I or you, so intimate that your hand upon my chest is my hand, so intimate that when I fall asleep your eyes close.”
