"Consider a tree for a moment. As beautiful as trees are to look at, we don't see what goes on underground - as they grow roots. Trees must develop deep roots in order to grow strong and produce their beauty. But we don't see the roots. We just see and enjoy the beauty. In much the same way, what goes on inside of us is like the roots of a tree." - Joyce Meyer
Kenneth Cobonpue is a brilliant Bisdak whose furniture is celebrated not only here in the Philippines but also in other parts of the world. He only uses natural and sustainable materials to create astounding masterpieces that are proudly Philippine made. His genius doesn't stop there. He created the Cor Jesu Oratory which is located within the grounds of Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu. He calls this design as "fat-free" which means he uses sleek and slender materials to create a fluid and continuous look and feel. I have always admired the way he updates classical designs by the materials he uses and the modern fluidity that is evident in all his creations. He is an unapologetic master of his craft who isn't afraid to mix comfort, versatility and sustainability. Kenneth Cobonpue is truly in a league of his own.
