My chosen advocacy is against the use of AI-generated art, as I have an increasing distaste for the growing trend of incorporating such imagery in the art industry. I firmly believe that AI should primarily serve as a tool to assist artists rather than for non-artists to profit from stolen work. For my design, I chose to use Canva and Photopea, with dimensions of 1414 x 2000 pixels. The fonts used are "Computer Says No" and "East Sea Dokdo Cyrillic."
Originally, I intended to arrange the text in the shape of a six-fingered hand to represent the common challenges faced by AI in generating accurate depictions of hands. However, I opted for a different approach due to the guidelines prohibiting such designs (as it appeared to be more text-art than typography). I incorporated alternating phrases from the popular slogans in support of the movement: "SAY NO TO AI GENERATED IMAGES" and "SUPPORT HUMAN ARTISTS," with specific letters and sections emphasized in red to suggest the form of a six-fingered hand, along with a slight outline for further contrast. Additionally, the first phrase utilizes a more 'digital' style font, while the second employs a 'human-like' and 'hand-written' style, further embodying the underlying message. The colour palette is intentionally straightforward, featuring black, greys, and red, to ensure that the central imagery just POPS at you, y'know? It really doesn't have to be more complicated than that!
