Hi, I am Adrian!
"Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire."
– William Butler Yeats
I am a fourth-year Bachelor of Education Studies student at the University of the Philippines Open University. As a dedicated lifelong learner, I balance my academic journey with my professional career, working full-time as a Senior Operations Associate at a U.S.-based bank, where I have gained four years of corporate experience.
My background reflects a strong foundation in communication and education. I previously served as a news staffer for KALASAG, the official publication of the College of Arts and Letters at UP Diliman, and am an active member of the UP Education Society. While I have yet to gain formal classroom teaching experience, I have conducted personal tutoring sessions, allowing me to apply my educational knowledge in a practical setting.
With a passion for both education and professional growth, I am committed to leveraging my corporate expertise and academic background to contribute meaningfully to the field of education.
I dedicate this project to the University of the Philippines Open University for shaping my academic journey. To Mr. Leynard Gripal, for his consistent support throughout the special project. To Barangay Captain Hon. Merlito Edwin Palomar and the SK officials, particularly SK Chairperson Janzel Catungal and SK Treasurer Grace Ylagan, for their support and collaboration. To the youth of Barangay Laram, whose participation gave purpose to this work. To my family, friends, and my partner, for their constant encouragement and moral support. To the Filipino people, whose taxes support state universities and make my education possible. Above all, to Almighty God, for guidance and strength throughout this endeavor.
