The Department of Broadcast Communication is looking for two students to assist us with some big projects and manage some Department tasks for the Academic Year.
In particular, we are looking for proactive, motivated, and creative folks who can quickly and cleanly synthesize information for sharing to different audiences via different platforms. The candidates should have good organizational skills because they will be deployed to different Department projects that are time sensitive and messaging-specific.
Aside from your writing and researching skills, your creative skills will also take center stage. We're looking for folks who can whip up cool designs for documents, announcements, and letters, contribute ideas to the look and feel of materials, and provide prototypes for these designs.
Candidates must be willing to work in teams consisting of DBC staff and faculty (your teachers may look stern sometimes, but they're really nice. They don't bite!), other students, and possibly folks from other units. You will need access to wi-fi, check email regularly, and be part of a chat group on an agreed-on platform (we take office hours seriously and respect each others' weekends!).
The nature of our work can get frenzied at times, and feedback is always available, but sometimes hearing from professors might make one self conscious. We want candidates who will be open to comments on their work, can communicate reasonably and collegially, and be willing to learn from the oldies but goodies with whom they will be working. :)
If you're interested, send us an email at broadcast.upd@up.edu.ph.
We look forward to hearing from you!
