The Department of Broadcast Communication of the College of Mass Communication, UP Diliman, in partnership with the Philippine Studies Association, DZUP 1602, and the College of Mass Communication, is spearheading the commemoration of the Centennial of Broadcasting in the Philippines, beginning with an academic conference in October 2022.

The Department is now accepting abstracts for its academic conference to commemorate 100 Years of Broadcasting in the Philippines. Marking this significant moment in the history of media in the country, and in the country's history as well, the Department invites practitioners, academics, students and enthusiasts to submit abstracts that talk about the development of broadcasting -- from personal experiences to little known historical facts -- to build a more robust picture of how broadcasting has evolved and possibly reflect future directions for the industry, and the discipline.
