The inaugural Conference of the AsianSLL was held in International Islamic University Malaysia on 15-16 November 2008, with the theme "Asian Regional Conference on Labour Law and Labour Market".
The Conference is the last activity of the International Labour Organization or ILO's Launch Labour Law Network Project. The main purpose of the project was the establishment of a firm basis for continued academic network activities.
