For my final project in MMS 172, I plan to create a short podcast episode that focuses on local musical traditions in Rizal, particularly the use of indigenous instruments in modern music. This podcast will be an informative and reflective piece that blends audio narration, and music samples.
I chose this project because I have a deep appreciation for local culture and music, + I am from Rizal specifically from Taytay, and I want to explore how traditional sounds are being preserved and integrated into contemporary settings. The podcast format allows for storytelling and sonic creativity, which suits the goals of this subject well.
Recording Area
I will be recording primarily in my bedroom. I record at night to avoid outside noise because during daytime, we have a motorcycle shop so the revving of motorcycles will ruin my recording.

Self-Reflection
This project is meaningful to me because it brings together my interest in sound production and cultural storytelling. I’m setting the bar high in terms of audio clarity, coherence of content, and production polish.
This assignment is more than a task—it's a test of my ability to manage time, tell a compelling story through audio, and apply everything I've learned in pre-production planning.
