1. Granting a scholarship by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the Kurdistan Region to study a PhD degree in Civil\Structural Engineering in the UK for the years 2011-2015.

2. Praise of my PhD supervisor, Dr. Kwan to me as shown in the figure below. (To Najmadeen, it has been a very quick three years. You have been a very quick learner, and you have completely finished your PhD even before the three years are up; that is a record for this school and me!
