Our resort will host a community program called Rewind History to educate people on the history of Las Vegas and the people who made it what it is today. The community is encouraged to come dressed in vintage fashion to fit with the aesthetic.
We will also host tours for groups of people who want to learn about how we stay green at our resort. We hope that these tours inspire our community to become more green in their homes and maybe volunteer at Wetlands Park, which is a community park that we team up with to help the enviornment.
Rewind is aware that our city is great, but it can become even greater. Las Vegas wasn't always what is is today, and it wouldn't be without The Welfare Mothers of West Las Vegas. During the 1970s, the people of Las Vegas, like Ruby Duncan who was a single mother living on Welfare, relized that their was a big issue on the Welfare program that needed to be addressed. She and many others took a stand and started to protest on the streets and even went into casinos like Caesars to get more attention and complete their goals. During these new recent times we have seen how people as young as the Generation Z take the streets to voice their opinion. Whether it's Black Lives Matter, Climate Change, LGBTQ+ Rights, School Funding, Women Rights, and Mental Health, we want to make sure that the people of our community feel that they have a right to share their voice with us. To put that in perspective, "More than 7 in 10 teenagers and young adults say climate change will cause a moderate or great deal of harm to people in their generation." (washingtonpost.com/american-teens) We want to be the resort to be involved with the changes the people of our city want.
Rewind has created the program Voices of Vegas (VOV) as a platform where anyone, no matter their demographic, may come and voice their opinions. It will be based on a month, example: June is Pride Month. We will hold rallies so everyone in the community can feel like they can voice their opinion on a topic safely in our resort. Also during that month we will sell merchandise with a percentage of procedes going to an organization. Example: Breast Cancer Awarness, we would sell shirts with the pink breast cancer logo and donate some of the money to the Breast Cancer organization.
Rewind is partnered with UNLV's hospitality program to offer an internship program for their students. They are studying to become the leaders of tomorrow in the hospitaliy industry and we want to show that they can look into our resort as an example of leadership.
At Rewind we avocate the importance of giving back to the community. Because of that we encourage our employees to give back. They complete hours and turn them in by the end of each month.
Examples of places: Wetlands Park, The LGBTQ Center, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and The Shade Tree.
We will reconize the employees who have done the most hours and reward them with recognition gifts.
Rewind also wants to create a group of leaders for their workforce. By exposing them to help other and the community they will learn skills that can also help them at our resort.
Rewind always wants to give back to the community. One way is we donate to charities like the following:

A panel designed to absorb the sun's rays as a source of energy for generating electricity or heating.
convert light into electricity
helps reduce global warming
decrease our reliance on fossil fuels
It incorporates low-emissivity coated glass to prevent heat coming or escaping through the windows.
It will improve the energy efficiency of our resort and save money on cooling bills.
Recycling bins and compost to get rid of waste food, and minimize impact in the environment.
To reduce pollution and traffic issues, we have our own Monorail to transport visitors from our resort to Downtown, and back.
Our resort is also striving to become LEED certified. LEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (drive.google.com/file/view). We are also investing in highly on integrated water and energy.
We will add LED lights to our resort because they providee health benefits such as helping reduce headaces and decreasing stress levels. (eaton.com/led-lighting.html)
We will also have LED lights because they "use at least 75% less energy," than incandescent lights. (energy.gov/energysaver)
Rewind will create around 4,000 permanent jobs and create 2,000-3,000 construction jobs for people like carpenters, plumbers and, architects. We will be providing digital jobs to people like technicians and electricians since we are adding technology like digital walls at our resort.
We will have monthly surveys for our workforce so we can get their opinion on how our resort is treating them. We want to make sure all the voices of our workforce are heard. It doesn't matter who they are.
Our customers are an important part of our success and that is why they are always encouage to leave a review. There is always room for improvement and we want them to reach out to us so we can better fit their needs. We have a resource that they can send their reviews so we can see them and make the nessassary changes.
Most importanly we are here for the community, because they are what make Las Vegas home. We will have a suggestion contact that they can call or email if they will like to organize a specific rally or protest at our resort. We will then reach out to them to plan out the event or find alternatives to their suggestions.
We understand that everyone is different, and at Rewind we respect and embrace that. That is why we want to highlight the different backgrounds of our employees. We will organize banquets decicated to the different culture of an employee so that they can feel included. They will be able to share their stories so everyone can learn from our differences. Example: A banquet for a US veteran and they share their story of their experience.
We love our diverse customers and to make them feel included we will include their different cultures in our resort. We will have menus and signs that can be scanned by our app to pull up multiple languages so they can choose whatever language they are most comfortable with.
We will team up with organizations that support minority to get them empolyeed at our resort. That way we get a diverse group of empolyees. By reaching out we want them to know that we care and that at our resort they can be respected and loved.
We will highlight our diverse team at our resort so that other diverse people can feel like they can step up and work with us.
Unfortunaly a problem of today is that not all employees get treated with the same respect because of differences.
We will have a phone number and email that our employees can use to reach out anomonesly if they need to report some type of problem they face.
Rewind will make sure that everyone is treated with respect. We want that everyone, even women and minority, can speak about a problem and that it gets addressed immediately and professionaly.
Before people can become an employee at our resort they will go through a mentorship program that not only teaches what their job description says but also leadership skills since they will be working in a team.
We will also provide training for See Something Say Something. This will be so they can feel confortable reaching out to us if they see something like hassasment to another employee or customer.
We will reconize our employees by giving the title of Employee of the Month to the person who goes above and beyond their expectations. Whether that is doing a lot of community service or just reporting a major issue. They will be awarded with a free meal at one of our fine restarunts for them are their family as well as have their picture on our wall of employee fame.
