[2020/10/27] DGX- 1 station from NVIDIA ready to use at Unizar
Unizar has received at its premises NVIDIA DGX-1 station. This powerful machine has been financed from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 863146. It will be used to research on computer vision and machine learning problems in the EndoMapper project.

We are happy to announce that the data acquisition from endoscopic procedures has been started at our hospital partner (Hospital Clínico Universitario Lozano Blesa, Zaragoza).
The database is growing slowly but steadily and we can share it with our partners. These are gastroscopies and colonoscopies and there are two types of recordings: landmark and routine. Landmark sequences are manually recorded and require the presence of one of the project’s researchers, who manually calibrate the camera after each procedure. Routine sequences are intended to be automatically recorded during actual medical procedures and do not include calibration.

Our project partner, University College London, offers a 2 years post-doc research position for working on computer vision and robotics. The application's closing date is 5th of October, 2020.
