Other Resources

Our social worker maintains a folder of resources for families to access anytime. This folder contains information on anything from Back to School Fairs, Thanksgiving Assistance, Parenting, Summer Programming, and more!

Lunch & Learns

We offer monthly Lunch & Learns to our UA parents on various topics. This is a great resource! We use our own staff's expertise and also bring in professionals from the KC community to help us provide you with the most current, up-to-date information.

Suicide Prevention

We believe Suicide Prevention is imperative for our students. We educate our staff and Middle and Upper School students annually using the SOS (Signs of Suicide) Prevention Program. Students are encouraged to call or text 988 if they need to talk to someone. If your student is in immediate danger, call 911. If you are seeking support from UA, please contact your student's school counselor or Brianne Phillips. Our counseling staff is trained to use the Columbia - Suicide Severity Rating Scale (C-SSRS) to determine a student's risk of suicide.

Bullying 

If you feel your child is being bullied, we want to know! You can confidentially report bullying here. We strive for UA to be a safe and inviting environment for each and every student. Our Bullying Policy ensures that we take every report of bullying seriously.

Social Media has completely changed the way the world communicates. It allows news, resources, family, and friends to be right at our fingertips.
