Toukounous

Tra il 2004 e il 2006 ha avuto luogo il progetto di elettrificazione dell'ospedale e della scuola di Toukounous, in Niger, non lontano dalla frontiera col Mali, su finanziamento della Regione Piemonte - cooperazione decentrata. Per soddisfare le esigenze è stato progettato e installato un sistema fotovoltaico da 2,4 kWp, con distribuzione della corrente in alternata 220 V. Il sistema è stato installato su uno dei fabbricati costituenti l'ospedale, e per alimentare la scuola, distante 340 metri, è stata realizzata una linea sotterranea che percorre la via principale del villaggio. Ai lavori ha partecipato attivamente la popolazione locale.

Between 2004 and 2006 the electrification project of the hospital and school of Toukounous, in Niger, not far from the border with Mali, took place, financed by the Piedmont Region - decentralized cooperation. To meet the needs, a 2.4 kWp photovoltaic system was designed and installed, with 220 V AC power distribution. The system was installed on one of the buildings of the hospital, and to power the school 340 meters away, an underground line that runs under the main street of the village, was laid. The local population actively participated in the works.
