With the goal of creating a unique AI ecosystem in Europe, Highest Lab was founded as a transdisciplinary network of research laboratories dedicated to advancing AI research and its applications on national and international scales.
The Lab was established in December 2024 within the Department of Economics and Statistics Cognetti de Martiis of the University of Turin.
A second branch, located at the University of Suor Orsola Benincasa in Naples, and a third at the Rome City Institute in Rome, have been established so far. Each branch focuses on a specific AI-related topic: the Naples branch works on AI and cultural heritage, while the Rome City Institute focuses on AI and Sport.
The laboratory collaborates internationally with the Network Science Institute at Northeastern University and with Harvard Medical School at Brigham and Women's Hospital.
The laboratory has already founded its first startup, Deeplomacy, which is already active on the market.
