Chemistry through the eyes of AI and ML: a school to show how artificial intelligence and machine learning are changing chemistry and material science
The international school stems from a joint proposal of the Physical Chemistry Division, the Theoretical and Computational Chemistry Divison of the Società Chimica Italiana.
Artificial intelligence and machine learning are transforming chemistry and materials science by accelerating drug discovery, guiding molecular and materials design, enhancing predictive accuracy across scales, and enabling data-driven insights that reshape theory, experiment, and applications.
The purpose of the school is to equip participants with the basic and theoretical foundations of AI and ML, while showcasing real-world applications in many brances of chemistry and materials science and offering, when possible, hands-on sessions for practical experience.
The school will feature internationally recognized scientists in the fields of AI and ML as lecturers, ensuring participants learn directly from leading experts in both theory and application.
The number of seats is limited to 50 partecipants chosen on a base of a working position (Phd, PostDoc, permanent), gender balance, pre-registration submission date and geographical distribution. A overbooking list is mantained in case of new seats will become available due to cancellation.
