Fully Remote Learners

Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR)

The Illinois State Board of Education is not allowing remote testing. Therefore, there is no obligation for your fully remote student to take the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) tests.

If you would like your fully remote learner to participate in the IAR tests, we are happy to welcome them into our building to take the IAR test, as they will not be allowed to take the test outside of our building.

Unit 5 understands that families who have chosen fully remote learning may not be comfortable with students reporting to their schools for in-person testing, and for that reason, there are absolutely no repercussions for students who do not participate in the IAR test. In fact, if you do not want your child to participate in the in-person IAR testing, you may stop reading this information now.

If you are interested in your fully remote student taking the IAR test in-person, at Evans, please note the following information.
