UNIS Sustainability Hub

UNIS Hanoi lives our commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals by ensuring a balanced consideration of nature, economy, society, and wellbeing guides our choices and actions.

The Sustainability Hub was set up in Nov 2021 with the collaboration of a number of sustainability committee members.

This Sustainability Hub is where members of the UNIS community can find information related to our sustainability resources, projects and events. This site is updated by student, staff and faculty members of our sustainability committee.

SC members participated as facilitators at VTC and Learning Together Conference 2022

In the Spring of  2022, employees presented at VTC and Learning Together conferences on the following topics:

• Climate Change

• Iceberg

• Visualize the sustainability index at UNIS by using the Data studio

Those conferences are open for all the educators across the country with the purpose of changing the concepts of sustainability and bringing some effective methods to promote it.

Gender Equality Workshop  - Nov 2021

This workshop has been organized to support UNIS local support staff in better understanding the roles of gender equality in family and society. Thereby contributing to influence and change the community's perception of gender equality, for an equal and progressive society. This is also to demonstrate the UNIS staff’s commitment to the United Nations' sustainable development goals.

Plastic Waste Recycling/Upcycling - Apr 2022

A productive, informative and meaningful workshop with the following outcomes:

 - Deep understanding about the full closed plastic recycling circle from UNIS Recycling Hub to PlasticPeople and the final products. 

 - Clear instruction on how the plastic waste be segregated and collected at UNIS Recycling Hub
