The numerical solution of differential equations often constitutes the core of simulations in a wide range of applications such as electronics, control design, chemical kinetics, and mechanics. The ability to solve such problems in a reliable way depends to a large extent on the stability of the computational process. The workshop addresses stability issues for ODEs, DAEs, DDEs, PDEs, Dynamical Systems, SDEs, and their discretizations as well as various applications.
The meeting continues the previous editions held in
Frostavallen (Sweden) in October 1999
Berlin (Germany) in October 2004
Vienna (Austria) in September 2008
Pamplona (Spain) in April 2013
Trieste (Italy) in June 2016
Budapest (Hungary) in June 2022
For the 7th Edition, the planned focal points include
Stability issues in the time discretization of conservation laws
Time discretization and regularization of highly oscillatory systems
Long term time evolution in systems with invariants
Problems in stochastic evolution systems
SDEs with applications
Evolutionary problems modelled by PDEs
Delay Differential Equations
Problems with invariants and constraints
Connecting neural networks and numerics of differential equations
We aim at a small scale meeting of at most 50 participants including about 30 invited speakers, to support intense scientific exchange and personal contacts. All talks will be given in plenary sessions that provide ample time for scientific discussions. There will be a poster session for young researchers. Our goal is to exchange the most recent results, ideas and open questions. Finally, it is a great place to establish new fruitful collaborations.
As part of the social activities in the conference, we are organizing an excursion and an optional social dinner.
