Prof. Valentina Silvestri graduated in genetics and molecular biology in 2009, later obtained a PhD in dermatology, anatomy, and plastic surgery (2013) as well as a residency in medical genetics (2023) at Sapienza University of Rome. She is currently an Associate Professor at the Department of Molecular Medicine, Sapienza University of Rome.
Her research activity is mainly focused on genetics and molecular epidemiology of solid tumors, with particular interest in hereditary-familial carcinomas. The research activity is based on the particular expertise of Prof. Silvestri, both in the experimental methods of molecular biology and in bioinformatics and biostatistical analysis applied to oncology.
